Academy Reports

OFSTED

Bengeworth CE Academy opened in June 2014 as a new Academy and has not yet been inspected by Ofsted. The most recent full inspection judged the previous school to be 'Outstanding' overall and is available to download below, with an 'Interim Visit' report from December 2020.

SIAMS

The Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools is carried out on behalf of the government by the Worcester Diocese under Section 48 of the Education Act 2005. As an Academy, we were inspected in October 2016 and our report is available to download below.

Challenge Partners Quality Assurance Review

As a Hub Lead within the Challenge Partners national network of schools, we take part in an annual external Quality Assurance Review process which is an important part of ongoing school development work. In return for the QA Review report, we contribute the time and expertise of our own school leaders to support inspection teams in reviewing other schools around the country. Our most recent review is available to download below.

Inclusion Quality Mark

Inclusion Quality Mark provides schools with a nationally recognised framework to guide the quality of their provision. The IQM team undertake a 2-day assessment in the school and provide a report to help schools evaluate and measure how they are performing; empowering them to improve and grow. Our most recent report and accreditation letter is available to view below.

School Performance

Using a range of data collected by the government, schools can now be viewed in comparison to each other for impact on outcomes for pupils and value for money.

Please click on the link below to visit the DfE School Performance comparison website where you will be able to compare Bengeworth CE Academy with other schools locally and nationally.

Pupil Premium Grant

Pupil Premium refers to specific funding provided for pupils identified as disadvantaged due to socio-economic circumstances. The school decides how to spend this money to best overcome these social and financial barriers for children and provide an equitable solution to 'closing the gap' between more vulnerable pupils and those who have a more advantaged starting point. We are required to provide evidence of the impact our spending is having on vulnerable groups of learners, which is available in the reports below.

Free school meals are available to some families who are in receipt of certain government benefits, such as Income Support or Income Based Jobseekers Allowance.  Other benefits may qualify you to apply for Free School Meals for your child.  Applying for a free school meal could raise extra funding for the school to fund valuable teaching and learning support, and is still paid to the school even if your circumstances or entitlement ceases.

If your child does qualify we recieve additional funding known as the Pupil Premium Grant. This grant will then apply to your child for 6 years. The funding is used to support your child educationally and can, in some instances, be used to pay for educational visits and extra curricular activities.

If you think that you may qualify for Free School Meals or would like more information,  please click here

Sports Premium

The premium was introduced to fund additional and sustainable improvements to the provision of PE and sport, for the benefit of primary-aged pupils, in the 2019 to 2020 academic year, to encourage the development of healthy, active lifestyles.

Sport is important because it encourages children to be active, lead a healthy lifestyle, make friends and, of course, have fun. But quality school sport has benefits that spread right across the curriculum and beyond - it develops confidence and a sense of achievement, it teaches young people how to rise to a challenge, and nurtures the character and skills that will help them get on and succeed in life.

At Bengeworth Academy we employ a qualified Specialist PE Teacher to oversee the teaching and coordination of PE at Bengeworth, working alongside our scheme of Real PE. We also employ specialist sports coaches to deliver extra-curricular clubs throughout the year, alongside our fabulous school staff. Such specialism has successfully increased children's subject knowledge, participation and achievement in Sport and PE. Many children are now signposted into local clubs as their love for PE and School Sport has evolved.
