Stone Age (to Iron Age)

Year 3 will be going right back through the ages and learning about the Stone Age to Iron Age.  They will be going back in time to discover the interesting shapes and markings made by early humans.  They will create their own cave drawings whilst learning the Year 3 mathematical vocabulary that goes with it.  They will become better story tellers by having the opportunity to practise telling their own versions of the Stone Age Boy by Satoshi Kitamura.  This will lead to some fantastic story writing and the development of their extended writing skills.  The children will be going on a local visit to discover some Stone Age weapon making techniques and lots more!

Year 3 have been working towards the Easter production this half term. We have analysed and recreated the famous painting of the Last Supper. We have researched and performed Easter poems and even produced our own. In science we have been discovering all about light and shadow, using our investigative skills.
